Daniele I´d give Lauro 10/10 if the water pressure was improved especially the hot water. Thatnks for sending the plumber at short notice. He couldn´t do much but at least he tried. Jeff

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment and the contrast in views offered by the two terraces. Situated on the main thoroughfare it is in a noisy position (although you cannot hear anything from the station despite it´s close proximity). I would recommend anyone staying in the twin room which overlooks the main road to use ear plugs ... they helped enormously and other than the first night when I didn´t have any, I slept really well. The apartment isn´t air conditioned which is a shame, especially considering the noise issue and the fact that because of the noise we had to sleep with the windows shut and the shutters down. My friends sleeping in the double room were able to sleep with their windows open however as little noise penetrated into their room on a regular basis. The only real disappointment was the shower which was pretty poor. I would however stress again that we really enjoyed staying in the apartment despite the noise and lack of air conditioning. It is in an excellent location and very spacious. The comments left by previous visitors were really helpful and prepared us for the possible inconvenience with the noise and we were therefore not distressed by it as we booked the apartment knowing it was to be expected.

Overall, Casa Lauro lived up to our expectations - extremely well located, spacious and well appointed and an ideal base for our party of four adults for the week. Tredy was extremely efficient in the booking arrangements and meeting us at the bus to show us to the apartment. The location of the apartment right on the main street, close to buses and the train station and opposite a supermarket were the main reasons that we chose Casa Lauro and we were not disappointed. We were however frustrated by the hot water system until we worked out how to it worked best. Some instructions about the hot water system would be a useful addition to the information provided. The information about rubbish disposal was also misleading but we soon worked out the closest rubbish skip to drop our rubbish. The back bedroom was very quiet but the couple occupying the bedroom overlooking the main street were disturbed by the noise of traffic and returning revellers late at night then garbage collectors and workmen in the early morning. Closing the windows eased the noise problem but they were then too hot to sleep - the weather was quite warm during our stay. On balance though, the advantages of this apartment outweighed the disadvantages and it was good value for money.

We were very happy with the service with tredy,i was very impressed that i was able to organise most things with one agent which made our lives easy.We had a great day trip to pompei and the guide was wonderful. The only negative side was in the apartment we were not able to get hot water when having a shower and also the toilet seat was broken.Also it would have been useful to have a kettle to boil water. Also the coach was not able to to wait at the meeting point and had to move on very quickly by police.At least if he could be allowed to wait for 10mins it would have been less stressful instead he had to circle around and come back for the rest of the people. Fantastic apartment in a great location. Very spacious. Hot water system seemed a bit unpredictable but otherwise everything was of a high standard.

The apartment was in a good central location.It was spacious though a little basic with tired furnishings and equipment especially in kitchen. Some instructions on how dishwasher, washing machine, heating and hot water worked would have been useful

Excellent spacious flat, great location. Kitchen could do with a little decoration but not a problem. Need to inform people how to work the hot water system. Will definitely be back

We had a leak and it was dealt with promptly. We didn´t have to wait for the plumber, so it did not impact on our holiday. Ernesto came out to the apartment and let him in for us. The plumber fixed the problem we raised and also checked other items and fixed a minor problem that we had not raised. Ernesto and Daniele ensured that any questions we had were promptly looked after and followed up on queries and with information on the plumber. We had an excellent holiday. The apartment was spacious and very central. We had great views of the mountains and the sea. There were lots of maps and tourist booklet left in the apartment for us to use. These were very helpful as they even contained train/bus/boat time tables. We would suggest that you provide a booklet explaining some practial items in the apartment, e.g. how to heat the water and use the washing machine etc. We were glad that Ernesto had shown us how to reset the fuse on the ground floor as we did need to do this once. Finally, we had to buy plug converters because the sockets in the apartment were not as we expected. There was one convertor in the apartment that we could have used, but it was broken. Thanks for a great holiday. The next time we go to Italy we will definetly look up your web site.

We loved the apartment and the views. The location was excellent. However, the following things could be improved, the water in the master bathroom toilet ran constanly and when flushed splashed out of holding tank onto the floor. in the main bathroom the toliet seat did not fit properly and was very uncomfortable. We missed having warm water in the mornings to shower.

We enjoyed our stay at Lauro apartment very much. We had a very warm welcome with profound information about the apartment. The apartment has a very good location with a fantastic view over the bay of Naples. What is found on the webpage conforms with reality--something that does not always happen. We have just spent two glorious weeks in apartment Lauro, it is perfectly situated in the heart of Sorrento. It is a superb apartment well fitted out and with loads of space, we were a party of 4 adults and there was room for more. An excellent super market 50 meters away for anything you may require. The view from the rear balcony is stunning, and although situated on the main street of Sorrento you are not disturbed by noise at night if you pull the shutters down. We would highly recommend the Ristorante il Leone Rosso in Via Marziale, this is the road opposite the apartment only 50 metres from the front door. excellent food at a very reasonable price. We would definately stay there again.

We loved the two balconies, one with a sweeping view of the Bay of Naples and one looking at the hills and down on to the main street with all the pedestrian life. We always ate breakfast and had coffee on one of the balconies. Our best accommodation in Italy, by far.

We stayed in the Lauro Apartment, Sorrento from 25/08/07 to 01/09/07. This was in a good location for access to the train, buses, beach, shops, restaurants, etc. The only problem we had was the fact that the apartment did not have air conditioning. This we did not realise when we booked and were not aware of until after we arrived (our mistake). It was so hot at night that we had to leave all the windows and doors open (still it was too hot). There was a lot of noise from Corso Italia all night, so the nights were not to pleasant. We bought a small fan (and left it in the apartment) to try and get some air movement at night and this improved things. Also the refrigerator did not operate correctly as it was not very cold. However, overall the apartment was very good, the views over the bay are spectacular and the Sorrentine Peninsula is a beautiful place to which we will return.

The apartment was too hot at night, and with with doors having to be open it was very noisy. Perhaps fans could have been offfered or made available when it is particularly warm.

The apartment was bright, comfortable and airy, and the views were more beautiful than the web pictures indicated. The front bedroom was a little noisy on weekend nights, but the back bedroom was very quiet. It would have helped immensely to have parking arranged because we had a car, and there is no street parking. But we loved the apartment, and Sorrento is a delightful home for day trips to Amalfi, Capri, Naples, Pompeii, etc. We definitely will stay again.

The apartment was very nice and as advertised. Our welcome at the train station was easy and it helped to get acquainted with Sorrento in our short walk to the apartment. Our only issues were: 1- The apartment was n the top floor and serviced by an elevator. We had slight problems understanding the issues of the elevator, and one day when the door was closed to hard it bounced back and remained open. Then, when other people in the building phoned to complain, we did not understand enough Italian to understand their complaint about needing to fuly close the door so they could access the elevator. A problem that we also had when the elevator was stuck on another floor on a different day. Some instructions concerning the elevator left in the apartment would be helpful. 2- The hot water heater in the apartment was of a type we had never seen before. We ended up taking a few cold showers before understanding how to control it. Again, some instructions would have been helpful. 3- There were some repairs going on in the apartment that had been started before we arrived, and workers showed up very early on our departure day to try to gain access to complete the work. That was not such a big problem, but we did not expect them and they they did not speak English, and our lack of Italian made an interesting engagement. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay and found the Lauro apartment to be a very nice accomodation. It was exactly what we hoped for in terms of convienience. It was near the ral station which we used for some of our side trips, we could easily walk to the marina to take the boat to Capri, the grocery store was just across the street and we found it easy to walk to a variety of resturants when we decided to go out to dinner. We had great stay in Sorrento and would have no trouble using Tredy again or recommending your services to our friends.

Apartment was very nice, spacious and well positioned in Sorrento. It is however looking a little shabby, and we had concerns about the safety of the electrical socket under the bed which was hanging out of the wall. Also the oven did not work.

Great location and wonderful view from main bedroom made this a great choice

The Apartment Lauro was very good location wise and facilities but it would make for a far more comfortable stay to have fans in the bedrooms as it wise quite hot a night.

We had a large and sunny, two bedroom apartment with views out to the Bay of Sorrento. It was in a great location, being walking distance to the main square, train station, port for ferries to Capri etc, the fishing village and restaurants.
