LOCATION:

The Amalfi Coast developes on the Peninsular territory between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno, from Vietri sul Mare and beyond Positano. A perfect marriage between sea and mountains, rich in coves and bays, often reachable only by sea such as the beautiful Grotta dello Smeraldo at Conca dei Marini and the Fiordo di Furore. The territory is strongly steep, sometimes with sheer cliffs: an uncontaminated nature, (visit the Oasis of Vallone di Porto, three km away from Positano) Spectacular landscapes drive the tourist to a contemplative rapture. The Divine Coast boasts also the glorious history of the Republic of Amalfi, its monuments, the terraced lemon – orchards and vineyards. The inhabitants draw inspiration from this landscape and creates beautiful handcraft products: the famous hand – made paper, the ceramics, the hampers made with the chestnut wood, the wrought iron and the “Moda Positano”. Thirteen villages of the Peninsula of Amalfi are placed on the Lattari mountainside of Salerno: Positano, Praiano, Furore, Conca dei Marini, Amalfi, Ravello, Scala, Tramonti, Atrani, Minori, Maiori, Cetara e Vietri sul Mare.



DESCRIPTION:

Villa San Michele at Castiglione di Ravello is the perfect spot to spend a relaxing holiday relishing the sea the sun and the views of the Amalfi Coast. A charming refuge from which the most attractive towns such as Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento can be easily reached.
The hotel built upon the rocks is in perfect harmony with nature situated in beautiful garden from here to the sea takes only a moment following a private route. The air and the eyes are filled with the fragrances and colours of the lemons and bouganville creating the right atmosphere for a romantic stay. From time to time the tipical flavours of the mediterranean cuisine preval and it's a great pleasure to savour them before the overwhelming view of the Salerno Goulf.

All the rooms have side sea view and balcony only one room is with windows , anyone different from another, are elegantly furnished and have the best comforts such as: air conditioning (heating), satellite TV, direct dial telephone, minibar, bathrooms with shower and hairdryer.

HOW TO REACH US

DEPARTURE FROM FIUMICINO:

Take direction to Rome, the junction G.R.A. (ring road of Rome) direction Naples, junction 21. Keep on motorway A1 direction Naples, keep on motorway A3 (not A30). Exit Vietri sul Mare and keep on direction Amalfi: at 1 km before Amalfi on the left you have Villa San Michele.

DEPARTURE FROM NAPLES:

Follow signs to A3 Salerno: take the motorway A3. Keep on motorway A3 direction to Salerno. Exit at Vietri sul Mare and follow the directions to Amalfi and at 1 km before Amalfi on the left you have Villa San Michele.

BY PLANE:

Naples Airport is the nearest airport well connected with Rome, Milan, Venice, London, Paris Frankfurt. From the airport you can take the bus leaving to Sorrento, Amalfi. You stop at Amalfi and take the bus to Salerno: the stop is in front of the hotel at Castiglione di Ravello.

BY TRAIN:

Salerno is the nearest railway station: 25 km – approximately 55 minutes drive. From the station you can take a taxi or the bus leaving to Amalfi: the bus
stop is in front of the hotel at Castiglione di Ravello.
Naples is the second nearest: 70 km – approximately 75 minutes drive.

BY CAR:

FROM SOUTH AND EST:

On motorway A3 take the junction to Salerno Centro. Turn left following signs to Vietri sul Mare and Amalfi, after driving for about 3 kms you will arrive to Amalfi. 1 km before Amalfi you have Villa San Michele on your left.

DRIVING FROM ROME OR NAPLES:

Follow the directions to the motorway A3 and Salerno. On A3 take the junction "Vietri sul Mare", and follow the signs to Amalfi. 1 km before Amalfi you have on the left Villa San Michele. Approximate journey time from Rome 3 ½ hours, Naples 1 ½ hours.
